Etihad and Emirates Airways to restart transits as UAE lifts suspension

Emirates and Etihad Airways to restarting some of their transit flights as the United Arab Emirates OR UAE ended the suspension on their services for passengers who want to stop at a country to change planes.

Dubai’s Emirates which is one of the biggest airlines announced that by June 15 they will be offering transit flights for 29 different destinations which include Asia, Europe, North America.

Emirates will be offering their flights for different cities in Pakistan which include Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad through which they can take flights for other destination by June 8.

According to the statement announced by Etihad Airways, they will be offering their flights for passengers for 20 different cities in Asia, Europe and Australia by June 10.

UAE ended the suspension on Wednesday which was after two months of being stopped which happened in March due to the pandemic.

On Thursday Qatar Airways said that they were rebuilding their network and will be resuming their flights for more than 40 destinations, for example, Bangkok, Barcelona, Pakistan and various other countries.

At the same time, Turkey is also planning to resume some of their flights from June. They will be allowing their flights for 40 different countries and has done an agreement for mutual air travels with 15 countries.

Domestic flights resumed on Monday to some of their provinces as Ankara relaxed their restrictions as infection rates dropped.

Karaismailoglu said flights will restart in five stages as they are trying to resume their flights in the safest manner possible.

In a written statement he said “We believe that we have left behind an important in our battle against the virus globally. Now we have to continue our global ties and trades.”
