The possibility of PML-N leader Irfan Ullah Murawwat joining the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has come to an end. According to sources, senior party members advised PPP not to induct Irfan Ullah Murawwat into the party. In a recent statement, Irfan Ullah Murawwat confirmed himself that he has not joined PPP. Former president Asif Ali Zardari has accepted the stance of his daughters, Bakhtawar and Asifa Zardari, and decided not to pursue the matter any further regarding Murawwat's potential membership. Asif Zardari has also instructed party leaders to refrain from making further comments on the matter. On the other hand, Irfan Ullah Murawwat has distanced himself from statements regarding joining the PPP, clarifying, "I never joined the Peoples Party." He alleged that Senator Saeed Ghani is creating discord between Asif Zardari and his children. In response, PPP Senator Saeed Ghani called Murawwat's allegation "absurd", stating, "I cannot even think about creating divisions within the party, and if someone does, their mental balance is questionable." A day earlier, news of Irfan Ullah Murawwat’s possible joining of the party and a meeting with Asif Zardari had surfaced in various newspapers. This news, along with the possibility of his membership, was heavily criticized on Twitter by Bakhtawar and Asifa Bhutto, who expressed their strong disapproval. Following those tweets, Irfan Ullah Murawwat has now publicly dismissed media reports from the past two days regarding his induction into the PPP.
