Michael JacksonA former doctor of Michael Jackson’s has spoken out.
Dermatologist Arnold Klein has defended allegations that he may be the biological father of the late star’s two eldest children.
Dr Klein said in an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America that “to the best of my knowledge” they are not his offspring.
According to The Telegraph, this follows reports in a US magazine which alleged that Debbie Rowe, their mother, was impregnated with Dr Klein’s sperm.
Debbie was employed as a nurse at Dr Klein’s Beverly Hills clinic in the 1990s.
Talking to presenter Diane Sawyer, Dr Klein said: “Not to the best of my knowledge.
“All I can tell you is, to the best of my knowledge I am not the father of these children.
“I’m telling you, if push comes to shove, I can’t say anything about it but to the best of my knowledge I’m not the father of these children.”
When Diane pursued the line of questioning saying “To the best of your knowledge? That’s an intriguing phrase”, Dr Klein said: “I can’t answer it in any other way because, do you know what, I don’t want to feed any of this insanity that’s going around.”
According to the Telegraph, Dr Klein also denied he was under investigation for prescribing potentially harmful drugs to Michael.
Dr Arnold Klein Other reports say the US Drug Enforcement Agency is currently investigating how Michael could have obtained numerous drugs, one of them being Propofol, a general anaesthetic that was found at his home.
Dr Klein said: “I am not one of the doctors, I have not been examined by anyone. I have not been contacted by police in Los Angeles.
“I was his doctor, I have given him medication, yes. But you could take all the medication I gave him in a year right now and nothing would happen to you.”
He went on to say: “I always was concerned about other doctors. But that was the problem with Michael. No matter what he wanted, someone would give it to him.”
