The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted heavy rainfall in Karachi and other cities of Sindh from Monday and advised authorities to take precautionary measure to prevent any unfortunate incidents.
In the statement, the PMD announced heavy rainfall may cause flooding of urban areas in Karachi, Thatta, Badin and Hyderabad on Monday and Tuesday.
The statement said, “The strengthened monsoon currents are predicted to cause widespread rain and thunderstorms in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Jamshore and Dadu from Sunday Night to Tuesday.” The metrological department advised all concerned authorities to remain alert and take necessary precautionary measuring during the forecasted period to prevent any unfortunate incidents
