ISLAMABAD: PTI chief Imran Khan informed on Monday that his government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would block NATO supplies on Nov 20 if government failed to act over a drone strike that damage peace talks.
Speaking on floor of the lower house, Khan insisted all political parties to unite in the face of challenges being faced by Pakistan. “I am ready to go to Maulana Fazlur Rehman despite tense relations,” he said.
“The United States thinks Pakistanis are worse than slaves,” he said. “We don’t’ want war with the United Sates. But there should be a middle ground between war and slavery,” he pointed out.
“All the parties sitting in the Parliament gave the federal government a mandate to negotiate with Taliban. But the process was sabotaged with the strike,” he said.
The PTI chief said that it was a important moment in the history of Pakistan. “It is unfortunate that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not make the drone strikes his number one agenda during his meeting with US President Obama.”
He said that the war was no solution to any issue. “We have stranded our 150, 000 troops in Wazirisitan.”
