Petroleum minister claims fuel crisis will be controlled within 3 days

Federal Minister of Petroleum Omar Ayub announced that the petrol crisis will be over by the next three days specifying that action is being taken against all hoarder.
The federal minister was speaking with the media regarding the petrol problem in which he said that “the government have started taking action against those who were stocking up their petroleum reserves which caused the shortage.
He said “This is the first time action is being taken against this mafia. During the raid, petrol reserves were recovered and cases have been registered against the culprits.”
He stated that the mafia is not letting people relief from the decreased costs in petroleum prices as the demand for petrol has increased by 30%.
On Tuesday Prime Minister had a meeting with the federal cabinet in which he ordered that disciplinary action should be taken against those who are responsible for petrol storage in Pakistan.
Imran Khan directed the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and petroleum to take necessary action to provide regular petroleum supplies within two to three days.
The prices of petroleum started to decrease from the beginning of June after which we started to hear people complaining of a shortage of petrol at pumps all across the country.
The Peshawar High Court held a hearing on a notice referring to the petrol and wheat situation in the country
Omar Ayub also presented before the High Court where Justice Qaiser Rashid asked him about the action taken by the government to reduce the crisis.
The judge said that the petrol pumps are not taking care of the SOPs and useless meeting are being held to discuss to situation
The judge continued that earlier people had problems with wheat crisis and now this petrol shortage, telling the federal minister he was requested so that the public can be given early assistance regarding the situation
The minister told the court that the petrol companies have created a mafia and were storing all fuel.
