Lahore: In the Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing scandal, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have been shown evidence of their alleged misconduct. According to Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) legal adviser, Tafazul Rizvi, both players were presented with all available evidence before notices were officially issued against them. Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have been given 14 days to respond. Before taking the matter to court, they must fulfill all legal requirements set by the PCB. Punishments in this case may range from a six-month suspension to a lifetime ban, depending on violations of the PCB’s Code of Conduct. Meanwhile, a decision has been made to summon Nasir Jamshed before the PCB’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU). Sources claim that the ACU has made significant progress in investigating the involvement of the Test cricketer. It should be noted that Nasir Jamshed also holds US citizenship, and his wife is a British citizen and a doctor by profession. Nasir Jamshed’s name has repeatedly surfaced in connection with the PSL spot-fixing scandal. It is alleged that, under his instructions, Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan met with suspected bookie Yousuf Nami in Dubai. Recently, reports emerged that both Nasir Jamshed and bookie Yousuf were arrested in England and later released on bail. The investigation into the scandal is ongoing.
