Google to donate $500,000 for flood relief efforts in Pakistan

Google stated on Thursday that it would give $500,000 to help Pakistani flood victims.

Vice President Stephanie Davis of Google Southeast Asia said on LinkedIn that the tech company would contribute the sum, which is around Rs110 million, to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy via Google.org.

She also said that the Center for Disaster Philanthropy will, in turn, provide smaller funds to regional organizations that are actively involved in disaster response and recovery.

“The ongoing floods in Pakistan have affected everyone, and we are praying for them.” We have seen Pakistanis and communities band together to support one another despite their dread of seeing their houses swept away and important agriculture ruined. Davis said in the article, “We want to help because their bravery inspires us.”
