Pak Suzuki cuts prices

KARACHI: Citing the appreciation of the rupee versus the dollar, Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMCL) said on Tuesday that the prices of certain models had been lowered by Rs75,000–199,000 as of August 16.

Since July 1, the firm has stopped accepting reservations for cars in advance. The current prices of the Alto VX, VXR, and AGS variants are Rs1.699 million, Rs1.976 million, and Rs2.223 million, respectively.

The Cultus VXR, VXL, and AGS models are now available for Rs2.754m, 3.024m, and Rs3.234m, while the Waggon VXR, VXL, and AGS models will now cost Rs2.421m, Rs2.564m, and Rs2.802m.

The corporation boosted rates by Rs314,000–661,000 in the first week of August, citing the depreciation of the rupee versus the dollar as the reason for the unexpected price drop.

Due to a scarcity of parts, Pak Suzuki has likewise chosen to temporarily close its auto manufacturing facility from August 18–19. The business stated that the motorbike manufacturing will continue to operate in a stock filing on Tuesday.
