Israel kills four people in strikes in Syria and Lebanon

Damascus and Beirut: Security and media sources say Israeli bombing attacks in Syria and Lebanon killed four persons on Wednesday.

Sources say that one of the bombs killed a woman and a child in south Lebanon. This happened just a few days after Hezbollah threatened to punish Israel for killing civilians in the war across the border in Lebanon.

Sources in security and medicine say that the woman and girl were killed in the attack in Majdal Zoun, a town about 6 km from the border.

Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, a spokesman for the Israeli army, said on X that the army had attacked “a military building” in the village of Yaroun in southern Lebanon and that Israeli warplanes had attacked three Hezbollah operational headquarters in the south.

It did not talk about Majdal Zoun, about a one-hour drive from Yaroun.

Hezbollah said on Wednesday that they would be attacking Israeli bases more than six times.

Israeli attacks in Syria and Lebanon

Two people were killed when an Israeli bomb hit a home in the Kafr Sousa area of Damascus, the capital of Syria. Both Syrian state media and a security source reported this.

A military source told Syrian state TV that the attack at 9:40 a.m. (0640 GMT) hurt several other people and identified the dead as residents.

State-run media in Syria showed pictures of the burned side of a multi-story building. The person who works in security said that the “attack did not achieve its aims.”

The area has homes, schools, and cultural places for Iranians. It is also close to the security services’ prominent, highly guarded structure. –pakishnews
