On Monday, Hulu released the exciting trailer for the much-awaited second season of the Kardashians’ reality show. As the family discussed the new season, viewers saw Kim Kardashian briefly address her controversial “work” culture comments with her sister Khloe. The cosmetics mogul shared her surprise over the harsh backlash.
After showcasing Kendall’s 818 party and Kourtney’s romance with Travis Barker, Kim Kardashian’s voice-over asks, “You saw all the backlash on the Variety interview?” Khloe responds, “No one sympathizes with you,” and Kim admits, “I’m mortified, and I understand why people were upset Reflecting on Kim Kardashian’s Work Culture Comments.”
Kim faced viral criticism in March after advising women in business to “get your f–king ass up and work” during an interview. Kourtney also faced backlash for supporting Kim’s comments, known for prioritizing time with her kids over work. Several celebrities criticized Kim’s remarks, prompting her to clarify.
In a sit-down, Kim explained, “My statement was a sound bite with no context.” She added, “It wasn’t a general statement about women. I respect their hard work.” She apologized, “I’m sorry if it seemed out of context.”
