Former Pakistan National Cricket Team pacer Aaqib Javed has made a bold claim while comparing the former India National Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli with Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Babar Azam, New Zealand National Cricket Team captain Kane Williamson and former England National Cricket Team captain Joe Root.
Virat Kohli, who is going through a lengthy lean patch, has now gone 993 days without scoring a century at the international level. Kohli, who has scored 70 international centuries, is currently on a break. He will be returning to the side for the Asia Cup 2022 and will be in action in India’s opening clash against Pakistan in Dubai on August 28.
Speaking on Paktv.tv, Javed said that the technically-sound batters like Babar, Root and Williamson will never go through a lengthy lean patch like Kohli. He asserted:
“There are two types of great players. One is players who, if they get stuck, their rough patch continues for a long time. The others are technically-sound players, whose rough patch cannot continue that long, like Babar Azam, Kane Williamson, Joe Root. It is difficult to find their weakness.
