Multan back as venue for HBL PSL 2023

Lahore: The eighth edition of the HBL will be held in Multan, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi once again.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Friday that next year’s main Twenty20 tournament, the Pakistan Super League (PSL), would take place from February 9th through March 19th.

Before the COVID-19 epidemic, the city of Multan was originally going to host the 2020 edition, but they had to remove it from the list.

On Friday, the HBL Pakistan Super League’s executive committee convened at the National High-Performance Center to make the necessary decisions.

Officials from the PCB and GC members and representatives from all six franchises were there. The meeting was presided over by PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja.

“The meeting extended its heartfelt congratulations to the GC on the incredibly successful and record-breaking HBL PSL 7. It was the first HBL tournament to be held in Pakistan without a break since the league began in 2016,” the statement said. A press statement from the PCB said that the tournament was successfully organized despite facing substantial external hurdles. The two exciting leagues in Karachi and Lahore contributed to record-breaking income and viewership.

There were significant talks about when the next HBL PSL would be held. The 8th annual HBL PSL dates will be February 9th through March 19th, 2023. Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Multan are the minimum number of locations that will be used to hold the matches. “Franchises and the PCB will continue to meet in due course to finalize the specific schedule,” it said.
