Ronaldo says truth will be revealed over Manchester United future soon

LONDON: Following weeks of unrelenting rumors over his future with the team, Cristiano Ronaldo, the forward for Manchester United, says he will now tell the truth.

Due to personal matters, the Portugal forward was unable to travel with United to Thailand and Australia for the preseason while rumors about his potential departure from Old Trafford circulated.

Although it has been stated that Ronaldo wants to play in the Champions League, United insists the 37-year-old is not for sale and is still a key component of Erik ten Hag’s plans.

The 37-year-old stated on Instagram, “They [will] know the truth when they interview in a couple weeks.”

Ronaldo also favored a fan’s post in which the coach of Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone, expressed interest in signing him.

Ronaldo responded to the post by saying, “The media is telling lies.” Out of the 100 news pieces I wrote in the last two months, only five were accurate, according to my notepad. Envision the situation as it is. Continue using that advice.

With one year remaining on his deal, Ronaldo, who came back to United from Juventus, is under contract.

With 24 goals in all competitions last season, he was their top scorer. However, Ten Hag chastised him for leaving an early preseason game against Rayo Vallecano after being replaced at halftime.

United had a terrible start to the current season, losing both of its opening games and lying bottom of the table. Last season, the team finished sixth in the Premier League and lost out on the Champions League. On Monday, they play host to Liverpool.

After United’s 4-0 loss to Brentford on Saturday, former player Gary Neville was extremely critical of the team and urged Ronaldo to be transparent about his circumstances.

Neville wrote on Twitter, “Why does the greatest player of all time [in my opinion] have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth?” Now get up and start talking. There needs to be leaders in the club since it is in trouble. The only person who can really take this situation by the balls is him!

The Glazer family, who own United, has come under scrutiny in the wake of the team’s poor start.

The 1958, a group of Manchester United supporters, intends to march against the club’s owners outside Old Trafford before to the match versus Liverpool.

The ownership was “systematically starving and murdering the greatest football institution in world sport, for greed,” the group claimed in a statement.

“We acknowledge that feelings are running high,” it continued. “We have to maintain peace and legality in it…Bring the fervor, the heat, and the roar. Let us demonstrate to the Glazer family that this will not be a one-time incident.

Tuesday night, billionaire Elon Musk ignited a social media frenzy by speculating on the possibility of purchasing United from the Glazer family.

The CEO of Tesla first made the remark in a tweet, but he then explained it by claiming it was a “long-running joke” and that he had no plans to purchase a sports franchise.
